Darwin Festival’s full program has been launched!
680 performances are set for the 18-day event in August, which last year attracted over 160,000 people and injected over $20 million into the local economy.
Tom Gleeson’s stand-up show ‘Gear’ is heading up north, so too The Spiegeltent’s new show ‘The Party’ both of which recently did stints at Adelaide’s Fringe Festival.
Other offerings include a rock ‘n’ roll theatre extravaganza called ‘Big Name, No Blankets’ and a new musical commemorating the 50th anniversary of Cyclone Tracy.
Darwin Ski Club has again been locked in to host the closing weekend, this year with concerts by The Cat Empire, Kate Miller-Heidke and Marlon Williams.
Tickets go on sale this Friday, May 31 with festivities kicking off on August 8.
