Darwin just sweated through its hottest May in over a century.
The capital city recorded an average maximum temperature of 33.7C, 1.6C warmer than the long-term average – making it the warmest final month of Autumn in 117 years.
Minimum temperatures averaged 23.7C, also 1.5C above average.

Outlooks are suggesting the run of warm weather will continue through each month during the Dry.
