Calls for CLP to keep alcohol floor price in place if elected, with groups saying it is effective

People’s Alcohol Action Coalition spokesperson Dr John Boffa says the floor price on alcohol is effective and is reducing alcohol-related assaults and domestic violence.

He told Katie Woolf it currently stands at $1.30 per standard drink and if the CLP scrap it alcohol would come back on the market at 30 cents per standard drink.

Dr Boffa says removing the floor price would also undermine NT and Federal investment in housing, education and employment.
