Treasurer promises Darwin V8 Supercars will go ahead with a major issue casting doubt on the event
Treasurer Bill Yan says the Department of Infrastructure and Logistics has been tasked with finding an immediate solution to ensure there are two entrances to Hidden Valley Raceway.
He told Katie Woolf the CLP Government has inherited a “Labor hand grenade”, recently learning that one entrance has been lost as part of the Tiger Brennan overpass and both the MXGP and V8 Supercars need a second entrance to and from the track for emergency vehicles.
Mr Yan says Labor knew about the issue and didn’t act to address it, promising the events will go ahead.
The Minister also explains the payroll tax changes for small businesses and talks about his recent ride-alongs on public buses.
