Grants of up to $12,000 available for solar PV and battery installation, with feed-in-tariff doubled

Minister for Renewables Gerard Maley says grants of up to $12,000 for solar PV and battery installation are available to Territory residents and businesses to help drive down power bills.

He told Katie Woolf the peak feed-in-tariff is also being doubled so people can get 18.66 cents between 3pm and 9pm year-round for electricity exported to the grid.

Following confirmation, the government is suing major gas supplier ENI, forcing it to secure supplies elsewhere, Mr Maley said there are emergency arrangements in place with gas producers at Middle Arm to ensure the lights stay on.
