Territorians are being warned to be on alert, with a confirmed case of measles detected in Greater Darwin.
The case is from an adult who recently travelled to South-East Asia, where a large number of outbreaks have been occurring.
It’s reported the person travelled to Cairns and back from Darwin last month, leaving the NT on January 24 and returning on January 27.
The affected services are Air North Flight TL160 and Air North Flight TL161.
It’s also reported the person visited Mckinnon Snack Bar and Takeaway in Berrimah at around 9am on January 28.
The NT Centre for Disease Control is in the process of contacting people identified as contacts of the case.
Symptoms of measles include fever, sore or red eyes, runny nose and cough, followed by a red, blotchy rash that spreads from the face and neck over the rest of the body.
It can take up to 18 days after exposure to develop symptoms.
