Chief Minister Lia Finocchiaro says the NT Government will continue to fund the NT ICAC despite an investigation into improper conduct leading up to the 2020 NT election culminating with no adverse findings.

The Chief also told Katie Woolf she hopes correctional staff from interstate can be deployed in NT prisons as early as next week after new legislation passed through parliament.

Ms Finocchiaro says she is not walking back on her promise of police retention bonuses of $10k for 10 years’ service, $15k for 15 years’ service and $20k for 20 years and beyond, saying it’s set in stone for one year, with negotiations ongoing beyond that.
