Chief touts actions during 100 days of government and defends scrapping the alcohol floor price
Chief Minister Lia Finocchiaro says the government’s crime reforms are already having an impact with greater powers for police, 60 officers hitting the streets for high visibility patrols and new offences of ram raids, posting and boasting and nuisance public drinking already in use.
The government is highlighting its achievements during the first 100 days in office, with the Chief saying getting the court system working efficiently and easing pressure on NT prisons will be the focus for the next 100 days.
Ms Finocchiaro also defended the CLP’s plans to scrap the alcohol floor price, saying it is pushing people to spirits and those wanting grog will find a way to get it regardless of the price.
