Johnn Johnn’s ice-cream store owner John Koenig says he’s fed up getting abused, with tourists and friends saying they don’t feel safe visiting the CBD especially with children. 

He told Katie Woolf it’s a tough decision to close after serving up gelato for 6.5 years and calling Darwin home for 30 years. 

Mr Koenig says he plans to close the store at the end of the dry season and will move interstate.
