Mother of Declan Laverty, Samara Laverty says she’s disappointed with the NT Government’s lack of action following the completion of its bail and weapons review.

She told Katie Woolf she welcomes the knife crime strategy, which was something she was pushing for following her son’s alleged murder.

Ms Laverty says more than 16,000 Territorians agree that more needs to be done to stop crime and boost community safety, having signed a petition that will be tabled in NT parliament this afternoon.
