Police have charged a 19-year-old man with murder after the death of a bottle shop employee.
The man allegedly stabbed 20-year-old Declan Laverty who was working at BWS on McMillians Road Jingili on Sunday night.
He’s been charged with one count of murder and one count of aggravated robbery.
Additionally, police are also investigating if the BWS attack is linked to two other incidents that occurred that same night.
It’s alleged a group of people visited the bottle shop at Beachfront Hotel on Sunday night, stealing alcohol and injuring a worker.
Police also believe the same group allegedly robbed a person in Karama that same night.
The main linkage between the bottle shop incidents is that a 2014 blue Toyota Camry with NT number plate CE71BI was witnessed nearby at both the BWS and Beachfront Hotel during the time of the attacks.
Police have charged two males, aged 15 and 16, with two counts of aggravated robbery for their alleged involvement in the Beachfront Hotel robbery and the Karama incident.
A 17-year-old male was arrested Monday night for his alleged involvement in the Beachfront Hotel robbery and has been charged with one count of aggravated robbery.
Anyone with information about these attacks is urged to make contact on 131 444.
