A 24-hour fire ban has been declared for large parts of the NT.
The ban is in place until midnight (September 4), covering the Darwin, Batchelor, Adelaide River, Litchfield and Coomalie regions.
Under the ban nobody in the restricted zones can light or cause a fire in any open areas.
