Bottle shop employee stabbed to death

A 19-year-old employee has died after being stabbed at a Darwin bottle shop.

At around 9pm Sunday police received reports of the man being stabbed with a knife at BWS on McMillians Road, Jingili.

St John Ambulance attended, but despite their best efforts to save the employee, he died at the scene.

The Major Crime Unit arrested a 19-year-old man early Monday morning in relation to the stabbing.

The alleged attacker remains in custody and is expected to be charged later today.
