Five people have been arrested following alleged assault of an elderly man in Karama last week.
It’s alleged at around 6.20pm last Monday (July 22), a group of five girls assaulted a 63-year-old man on Sedge Court.
Police say the man confronted the group who were damaging a vacant property, before they began throwing items at him.
One adult and four youths were arrested on Thursday (July 25) in relation to the alleged assault, all charged with a string of offences.
Their charges include aggravated assault, engage in violent conduct, damage to property and going armed in public.
They are set to appear in court at a later date.
