Five teens have been arrested following a string of alleged crimes across the Greater Darwin Region.
Police attended a home on Westralia Street in Stuart Park before 1am this morning (March 26), where it’s alleged a group gained entry while armed through a dog door.
It’s further alleged the teens stole two vehicles from the property.
At around 1:15am, it’s alleged the group rammed a property gate in Moulden, before threatening residents with a machete and a hammer.
Police say they began a pursuit of one of the stolen vehicles after it was spotted in Fannie Bay, with the vehicle eventually crashing into a power pole and the occupants fleeing on foot.
Police officers managed to track down the alleged offenders with the held of Police Patrol Dogs.
The five males youths arrested, aged 13, 14, 15, 16 and 19-years-old were all transported to the Royal Darwin Hospital for medical assessment.
Strike Force Trident have carriage of the investigations and charges are expected to follow.
