A group of youths have been charged after a series of violent robberies across Darwin’s northern suburbs.

Two boys aged 13 and 16 and two girls aged 14 robbed a Casuarina service station early Tuesday morning, allegedly threatening an employee with a metal bar and then taking off with several items.

At 7am that same morning police say the group were then involved in a fight with a taxi driver in Moil, with the 13-year-old further accused of assaulting the driver with a chain.

They’ve since been charged with aggravated robbery, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, stealing and causing property damage.
