A man who allegedly broke into a Palmerston home while armed with a gun remains on the run.
Police received reports that 27-year-old Jermaine Shane Austral targeted a Johnston property at 2.10pm yesterday and then fled the scene.
Police say there were no reports of injuries and the gun was not discharged, adding that Mr Austral has a number of outstanding warrants.
A large cohort of officers including the Territory Response Group, Serious Crime Detectives and the Dog Operations Unit were deployed to Johnston and Karama to arrest Mr Austral.
But they were unsuccessful, with police now asking the public to assist.
Anyone who sees Mr Austral or knows of his whereabouts is urged to immediately call police and to not approach him.
