Territorians are being reminded to drive responsibly after a 12 person car crash in the Daly River Region.
The incident happened at around 5.40 on Saturday night (February 8), when a car rolled just south of Tipperary Station.
9 passengers were injured with a 5-year-old girl suffering a serious head injury.
Authorities report the driver of the vehicle tested negative for alcohol.
Acting Superintendent Erica Gibson says the behaviour was dangerous and irresponsible.
“When a vehicle this overloaded crashes, regardless of the cause, it is just pure luck that no one is killed,” she said.
“It goes without saying that the maximum number of passengers in any vehicle is the same as the number of seats.”
