Six people have been arrested over a crime spree in Darwin, with six cars stolen overnight.
Police received reports of multiple break-ins at homes and businesses in Fannie Bay, East Arm and Darwin City during the late evening into the early morning.
It’s alleged the group stole at least six cars and tried to fuel up three at a service station in Berry Springs.
Strike Force Trident, the Dog squad and general duties officers were deployed and managed to stop three of the vehicles using tyre spikes just outside of Adelaide River.
Five boys aged from 13 to 17 and a woman were arrested at the scene and are expected to be charged later today.
Efforts are ongoing to find the other three vehicles, which have been taken outside of the Darwin area.
