Two adults and a teenager traveling in a stolen car have been arrested after a police chase on the Stuart Highway.
It’s alleged they stole the Toyota Landcruiser from the corner of Mitchell and Daly Streets in Darwin City at 8.30 last night.
The vehicle was spotted a short time later heading outbound on the highway and the pursuit began.
Strike Force Trident and officers from Palmerston and Humpty Doo managed to stop the Landcruiser using tyre spikes at Noonamah.
But the driver allegedly reversed into a police car and tried to ram another before officers cuffed the occupants.
All officers escaped unharmed.
A 14-year-old boy and two 20-year-old women are expected to be charged later today.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing and anyone who saw the vehicle driving erratically is urged to report it on 131 444 with reference number 10446689.
