Target Bowls is a  fun interactive way for people of all ages and all abilities to play lawn bowls

A great game for people who have never bowled to learn how to play lawn bowls. But also a game for seasoned bowlers to hone their skills.

A target, with numbers marked on it, is placed at one end of the rink on the bowls green. Players have four bowls each to roll from the other end of the rink, ultimately trying to make their bowls land/stop on the target.

Once all players have taken turns and rolled all their bowls at the target then the points are added as per where that player’s bowls have stopped on the target. Any bowls overlapping  different numbers will be scored as the higher number as well as any touch of the ‘jack’ (by a bowl) will be awarded 5 points.

The person with the most points at the end will be the winner.

We encourage people to come with their own group of four and that is who you will be competing against. Whilst 4 is the perfect number, numbers can vary with a maximum of six per rink. Less than four is also ok but you may have to bowl with other participants, so what a great way to meet new people.
