Katy Perry is heading down under to rock the major sporting event of the year!
The 39-year-old pop sensation can’t contain her excitement about taking the stage at the iconic MCG.
“I’m so excited to be back in Australia and back at the mighty MCG to perform in front of 100,000 of the best and loudest fans in the world at this year’s Toyota AFL Grand Final. See you in September Oy Oy Oy!” she exclaimed.
Known for her smash hits like “Roar”, “Teenage Dream,” “California Gurls,” and “Dark Horse,” Perry has sold over 143 million records worldwide.
She’s recently announced her sixth studio album, 143, and despite mixed reviews for its first single, “Woman’s World,” she’s ready to wow her Australian fans.
AFL Executive General Manager of Customer and Commercial, Kylie Rogers, shared the league’s enthusiasm. “Katy Perry is an international music icon who has been entertaining fans with her chart-topping hits for many years. The AFL is delighted to have her join us at the 2024 Toyota AFL Grand Final for a spectacular Telstra Pre-Game Entertainment performance.”
