In an interview with US magazine People, she expressed her enthusiasm to reunite with Jamie, saying, “I’m just thrilled to collaborate with Jamie again and see how far we can push the boundaries.”

“We’re in touch almost every day, so I know we’re going to have a blast!” Lohan eagerly mentioned that working with Curtis again is something she looks forward to, and although the new film is in development, details on filming dates and the script remain a mystery.

Curtis, inspired by fans’ interest, reached out to Disney about a sequel, recalling the strong impact the original movie had on audiences worldwide during her Halloween Ends tour.

She reminisced, “People kept asking about another Freaky Friday. It struck a chord. When I returned, I got in touch with my pals at Disney and said, ‘There’s potential for a new movie here’.”

Freaky Friday, a whimsical story of a mother and daughter swapping bodies due to a magical Chinese fortune cookie, draws from Mary Rodgers’ 1972 novel.
