First Trailer: Godzilla Minus One

Toho has just dropped the first full trailer for this highly anticipated project, and it’s already sending shockwaves through fans of the franchise.

After teasing fans back in July, Toho has officially unveiled the trailer for “Godzilla Minus One,” the latest addition to the storied legacy of live-action Godzilla movies. This film promises to take us on a wild ride through a post-war Japan that’s already been torn apart, where the iconic kaiju emerges from the depths once again.

One thing’s for sure: The destruction and chaos are guaranteed, but the details of the plot remain shrouded in secrecy.

Takashi Yamazaki, the mastermind behind the visual effects in 2016’s “Shin Godzilla,” returns to helm “Godzilla Minus One.” This marks the second live-action Reiwa-era Godzilla film, following the success of the 2016 entry. Yamazaki’s expertise in bringing these colossal creatures to life is sure to elevate the cinematic experience to new heights.

The Godzilla frenzy doesn’t end with this film. Three animated Godzilla movies made their way to Netflix and Legendary is gearing up for “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire,” scheduled to hit cinemas in May of next year. The battle of the giants is on the horizon, and it promises to be an epic showdown.

As if that weren’t enough, the world of Godzilla is expanding further. Apple TV+ and Legendary are teaming up for a live-action series adaptation titled “Godzilla and the Titans,” set within the captivating world of Legendary’s MonsterVerse. And the cherry on top? “WandaVision” director Matt Shakman is at the helm, with stars like Wyatt Russell, Kurt Russell, and Kiersey Clemons bringing this monstrous tale to life. It’s a thrilling time to be a Godzilla fan!

Back to “Godzilla Minus One” is set to premiere in Japan on November 3rd and the rest of us will get the theatrical release on December 1st.
